Artspace, a non-profit visual art center located in downtown Raleigh, NC, has several artists’ opportunities coming up:
1. Artspace Artists Association (AAA) Membership (Deadline: September 2):
AAA promotes the growth of the individual artist, provides an environment of interaction with the community, and fosters the mission of Artspace. AAA members are eligible to rent studios and exhibit their work at Artspace. Of 120+ artists, over half are non-tenants. Applications MUST be submitted via CaFE, www.callforentry.org. $30 application fee.
2. Call for Exhibitions (Deadline: September 10, 11:59pm):
Artspace is seeking innovative work for solo and/or group exhibitions from emerging and established artists working in all media for its Galleries 1 and 2. Exhibitions will be scheduled for September 2014 and beyond. Applications MUST be submitted via CaFE, www.callforentry.org. $15 application fee.
3. Regional Emerging Artist Residency (Deadline: October 1):
This residency is for January-July 2014. It provides emerging visual artists residing in NC, time and space to explore their work in a supportive, thriving, artistic environment. Residency includes a rent-free studio with 24-hour access for six months. Artspace does NOT provide transportation. $25 application fee.
