ARTS Wake Forest

About AWF

Inspiring those inspired to create

ARTS Wake Forest supports local artists and existing art programs throughout our community and encourages new arts ventures. We are a section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which was founded as the Wake Forest Cultural Arts Association in 1990 and is currently an all-volunteer organization.

ARTS Wake Forest is funded through grants from the Town of Wake Forest, United Arts of Raleigh & Wake County, and the Wege Foundation. We also depend on business and individual contributions and corporate sponsorships. Our organization serves as a foundation to accept charitable contributions and secure grants for arts programming at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts.

ARTS Wake Forest organizes the annual Six Sundays in Spring outdoor concert series, the Neck of the Woods variety show, the Music at Midday concert series, the Wake Forest Holiday Artisans’ Market and the Kids Kraft program.

We assist with the Mardi Gras Festival, the Dirt Day Festival, the Wake Forest Youth Connect conference, and the Mad Hatters’ Artist & Garden Tour.

ARTS Wake Forest partners with the Wake Forest Guild of Artists to promote the visual arts and artists in our community. The Guild provides, through fellowship and general member meetings, a sense of camaraderie and offers educational seminars and participation in 2-D and 3-D art events.

ARTS Wake Forest supports the Wake Forest Children’s Choir. The vocal ensemble Wake Forest Singers and the Forest Moon Theater started under the umbrella of ARTS Wake Forest. Our latest venture is the Wake Forest Dance Festival.

Our Mission

ARTS Wake Forest supports and enhances a strong, vibrant community through the development, promotion and coordination of arts and cultural activities.
