The NC Art Outreach Project will offer artists fruitful local, national, and international opportunities for exposure and professional advancement through access to networks for which they may not otherwise have entry. In addition, artists will benefit from personalized contact with art professionals and a platform for sharing opinions in a collegial atmosphere.

This first call-for-artists is extended to artists producing abstract works in two and three dimensions.  It will take place this winter and spring during Independents, a five person exhibition, featuring paintings by Brett Baker, Mark Brown, Ashlynn Browning, Philip Lopez, and Bonnie Melton. A group of 60 artists will be invited to present in pecha kucha format in February. Participants will receive input from arts professionals from NC and NYC in an informal, collegial setting. (Registration, image lists, and morning or afternoon preference for the NC outreach session should be submitted online:  Click here. Please register online as soon as you’d like; we will need to receive your online image list and mailed submission of a PowerPoint file with twenty works by January 1, 2013. Directions are online.)
