Rags to Riches will offer two free performances of “The Owl and the Turtle” on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave. The shows get underway at 2:20 p.m. and 4 p.m.

All Wake Forest-area youth are invited to attend the performances. Space is limited, however, so seating is available on a first come, first served basis.

Rags to Riches is “a traveling theatre troupe, entertaining the young and the young at heart with stories pulled from history, literature and fantasy. Our performances include music, laughter and improvisation.” The troupe’s shows rely on audience participation and performers teach the audience songs, shouts, moves and dances.

The Rags to Riches performances are sponsored by the Wake Forest Parks and Recreation Department and United Arts of Raleigh and Wake County. For more information, call 919-435-9560.
